Thanksgiving Table 2021

Here is a look at our table setting for Thanksgiving Day, 2021.

This year, we decided to use the orange vintage glassware we purchased from a Goodwill while living in San Antonio, Texas. These glasses our a favorite because they are such a unique color.

The green pumpkin was hanging from vines at the back of our yard this year, and we believe it mixed with Zucchini to make this odd, deep green.

The green marble wine bottle holder was another Goodwill fine from several years ago.

The pretty pumpkin plates are probably the only items not thrifted, and they were purchased several years ago from Walmart.

Dessert Bar

I decided  to create the dessert bar that I've been wanting to do for several years.  It may not be as pink and on the scale that I wanted it, but I am very happy with it and I think it turned out very pretty.  A few months ago I had seen an advertisement about the Unicorn cake being sold at Walmart, so I decide to get that from a birthday and it tasted great and looked great and I am very happy with that as well. I totally recommend the unicorn cake for kids and adults alike.

Thrift Store Side Table and Cabinet DIY

I found this first table at Goodwill for under $20.  It was scratched, and a little worn, so I spray painted it gold to give it a new look, and match the rest of the decor in my dining room.  I had been wanting two side tables for a while, but had not had much luck finding anything the right price, and style.  I like that this table has the added piece along the bottom, since it really helps with storage. This next cabinet was purchased for around $25 at Habitat for Humanity.  It was just a little too worn to be left unpainted, so I spray painted it gold, also. Here is the after! I am so happy with how they both turned out!  For now, I am storing a lot of my crystal and clear glass in the cabinet.   The candelabra on top was a $10 find from a thrift store in Amelia, Virginia.  I had been wanting one for a long time, so I was thrilled to find this one, and at such a great price, too. The large crystal vase with the palm trees was a Goodwill find for around $25.

Fall Decorating

It has been a long time, but I am finally back with a new post! The whole home renovation process has been one of the most involved and overwhelming things I have tried to do in my life, so I have not kept up with this blog like I had originally intended to. For this post I decided to share some of my fall decorations, since fall is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for.  I just love the fall colors!  The pineapple vase is from Walmart, and I bought it a couple years ago but last time I checked, they were still selling it. The flowers are also from Walmart.  I just love them!  The rich colors look amazing! The tiny pumpkins are from the Dollar Tree.  The Dollar Tree always has lots of cute decorations, for every season! These amazing orange glasses were prchased from a Goodwill store in San Antonio, Texas, many years ago.  The orange color is so gorgeous, and rare!  I think these are the perfect fall/Thanksgiving glasses. I decided to decorate this count
